The lead story follows Shiroi, a royal lady who's husband was murdered by an invading force that now occupies their city. Guided by mysterious dreams, Shiori and a band of misfits embark on a quest to find a mythical weapon that could help them overthrow their oppressors: the Witchblade. There is also a back-up story titled "The Bandit, The Samurai, The Tea Master And Aesthetics." It is a short prose story with illustrations by Peter Steigerwald.
